The SOLO Broadcast Transmitter is a rugged digital video transmitter,
ideal for sports and news link applications. A Cobham Surveillance
product with domo technology at its core, it is small and low powered
enough to facilitate easy connection in any broadcast application.
The SOLO Broadcast Transmitter incorporates a high quality MPEG
encoder, with a compliant DVB-T modulator and 100mW RF up-converter
into a single low power consumption package. The unit is equipped with
SDI (optional) and composite video interfaces, as well as ASI interfaces
for easy connectivity to third party equipment.
The Transmitter is ideal for use in locations such as stadiums and studios,
or mounted in vehicles at sports events.
Security of the transmission can be ensured using the optional embedded
AES128/256 encryption.

The SOLO HD Transmitter
is a rugged, High Definition
digital video transmitter, ideal for law enforcement surveillance or
sports and news links applications. The HD Transmitter can operate in a
variety of transmission bandwidths allowing the user to trade off image
quality against range to suite all types of applications. Excellent range,
performance and spectral efficiency are offered when operating in the
unique 2.5MHz narrow bandwidth mode. For excellent image quality at
shorter ranges the 8MHz DVB-T modulation can be employed.
The increased compression and efficiency of the MPEG4 H264 encoder
in Cobham’s HD solution offers users additional range with the added
benefit of small size, low latency and low power consumption. Able to
transmit images in a non-line of sight environment up to 1km
depending on mode and frequency, the SOLO4 Transmitter can achieve
even further range with the clip-on booster PA. Greater security of the
transmission can be ensured using the optional internal AES128/256.
The SOLO HD transmitter can be easily connected to any camera type. A
range of camera brackets are available to facilitate easy mounting of the
SOLO HD transmitter to satisfy many different camera styles.
For excellent range and coverage, the SOLO HD transmitter can be operated
with the Cobham Pro-RX receiver with optional HD decoder. The Pro-RX
receiver is available with 2 way, 4 way, 6 way and 8 way diversity.

The ODX402/ ODX502/ ODX602 is a rugged two-antenna diversity “receiver” intended for demanding long range, high mobility wireless video applications. The COFDM transmission of digital video ensures a robust video link.

Description
The OTX series of COFDM digital video transmitters excel in performance by providing high output powers in excess of 0.6W while consuming only 6.5W of dc power. They are lightweight and run cool which permits usage in many areas hereto limited by heat & size.
The transmitter has 16 preset channels & a PC GUI (restricted) allows the user to change the preset channel allocations & other parameters. The transmitter can accept 2 video inputs that are beneficial for selecting between standard & IR cameras (optional feature).
The OTX series offers one video channel, stereo audio and a data channel. Provision for an optional Avalon transceiver TR430-2G enhances the usability for most applications that require command & control too.
