Garie Wetherill   Video Assist Superviser

Garie emigrated from the UK where he had been working for the past six years as a Digital Video Assist Operator. Whilst there, Garie had proved himself to be a reliable and sought after technician, accumulating an impressive number of feature film, commercial TV productions and drama credits.

While based in London, Garie worked consistently throughout the UK and Europe and had the pleasure to work with a number of international directors, included among them; Guy Ritchie: {Revolver} Neil Jordan: {The End of the Affair} Julian Fellows: {A Way through the Woods} Marco Brambilla: {Dinotopia}

In addition to his work in feature films, Garie is also experienced in the production of TVC's and has more than 100+ credits to his name.

Recent Film credits include:"The Eye Of The Storm" Eat Prey Love" indonesia Unit "Dont Be Afraid Of The Dark 2nd unit " "The Pacific" (Red Unit) Digital Video Assist Supervisor and "Where The Wild Things Are" (on which he was the creature's / puppeteers video assist). Garie looks forward to building further upon his London & European experience as a Digital Video Assist operator in Australia.

Garie also has work visa's for Europe and a current passport with a clean police clearance in Australia and Europe.

In addition Garie owns a multitude of video equipment LCD monitors, video mixers. the latest pc based digital video playback system with Adobe Prem Edit package. this will record up to four cameras, do multi layer mixes, key in effects resize images, various speed changes create camera ramps and is fully HD compliant. This is a very affordable solution to the ever growing demands of video assist and can be matched to any size production and budget.
